My name is Tracey and I'm a stay at home mum to an adorable little boy and wife to my wonderful long-suffering husband.
We live in the beautiful Perth hills, Western Australia.
I started doing mosaics about 6 years ago and since getting my little boy into a better routine I've stolen some time out for me to get back into the art that I love and am now totally addicted to.
I have my 'passion for smashin' back!
When I say addicted, I don't just mean the mosaicing itself but everything to do with mosaics. One of my favourite things is hunting down bargains to mosaic and beautiful china and jewellery etc to mosaic with. My favourite hunting grounds are garage sales, swapmeets and the internet. I also love getting inspiration from all those amazing mosaic artists out there on the net and in books.
My new love is shabby chic pique-assiette mosaics. I love using beautiful old and new china and anything with roses is my absolute favourite with pink being another favourite of mine. I use a lot of glass and glass tiles and handmade tiles too, a lot of which I buy in from the US. I also love to add a little something special to some of my pieces, some porcelain or handmade roses or something a little whimsical. I love jewellery, buttons and anything pretty that adds that special little personal touch.
